weekly phone calls with a member of the
Aspiro Treatment Team, communicate weekly
though written communication, do regular
therapeutic assignments at home and attend
optional Parenting Work shops.
Parent workshops
are held during each students stay.
Please contact your family therapist for

Family Involvement can take
on many different forms. Using an
integrated base camp model allows Aspiro to
customize family involvement to your child
and family situation.
There are many factors
that determine how family involvement works,
so please talk directly to an Admissions
Specialist about the details of family
Involvement.
Some additional options
include:
- Family Sessions
via telephone: When
appropriate as determined by your
child's treatment team, family conference
calls can be used to begin the family
healing process.

- Multi Day
Workshops: This multi-day workshop
geared for parents explores
numerous family dynamics and explores
the family healing process. This
workshop is primarily geared for
parents. During particular times
during the workshop, your child will
become part of the activities. The
family is responsible for their travel
and lodging cost.
- On the trail:
When appropriate, parents are invited
to grab their back packs and go on the
trail with a group of students in order
to build relationships with their child.
This is a unique experience where you as
parents become one of our students.
Attending parents will participate in an
orientation before hitting the trail.
Once on the trail, you will eat the same
food, sleep in a tent, and do all the
same activities as the students.
Parents who wish to participate in a
trail experience must have a physical
exam from a doctor with in 30 days of
leaving for the trail.
- Aftercare
Planning: Our therapists work
closely with your family, educational
consultant, and home therapists to
ensure your child's continued success
after Aspiro. Aspiro will also
work hand in hand with other boarding
schools and aftercare agencies to insure a seamless
transition where applicable.
